US natural gas inventories declined as expected during the week ending Nov. 14, but were lower compared to their levels a year earlier, according to data released Thursday by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
The data showed a decrease by 14 billion cubic feet (bcf), in line with expectations of Wall Street analysts.
US gas inventories are 0.6% lower than the same period last year, but 3.8% above the five-year average of 3.8 trillion cubic feet.
