Global oil rig count declines in November: Baker Hughes

The number of oil drilling rigs worldwide fell by 95 units year-on-year (YoY) in November to 1,812. However, oil drillers increased by 12 on a monthly basis, data from the oilfield services company Baker Hughes showed.

 

The Middle East rig count rose by eight units to 513 in November compared with the previous month, but dropped by 22 YoY.

 

Meanwhile, the number of oil and gas rigs worldwide – excluding the US and Canada – increased by 14 units to 1,073 in November, but decreased by 45 YoY.
