MSCI will implement today, Feb. 26, its changes to the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) in line with its periodic index review announced on Feb. 11.

As required by global index management services, the changes will be executed during the closing auction and the trade-at-close session, as the scheduled effective date of Feb. 27 falls on Friday.

MSCI removed Dallah Healthcare Co., Sahara International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) and Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG) from its Global Standard Index, downgrading them to the Small Cap Index.

Meanwhile, MSCI added Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh) and Nahdi Medical Co. to the Small Cap Index, while removing Alujain Corp., City Cement Co., Nice One Beauty Digital Marketing Co., Sumou Real Estate Co. and Middle East Paper Co. (MEPCO).

As a result, the number of Saudi companies included in the Small Cap Index reached 90, while the Global Standard Index now includes 34 Saudi companies.
