HRSD Ministry says updated decision covers secretarial, clerical, and other administrative support roles

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) announced an update to the decision on localizing administrative support occupations in the private sector, effective April 5, 2026.

The update will entail adding 69 roles to the list of jobs subject to 100% localization, in line with the approved definitions and job titles under the Saudi Standard Classification of Occupations.

The ministry said on X that the update includes adding several job titles in the fields of secretarial work, clerical work, translation, data entry and administrative support. The decision applies to establishments employing one worker or more in the covered occupations.

It added that the update aligns with efforts to localize specialized professions in the private sector.
