Tehran set preconditions for talks with US on 'a lasting peace', including an immediate halt to strikes, guarantees strikes will not be repeated, compensation for damages, the source said.
Under a permanent peace deal, Tehran demands fees for ships passing through Hormuz strait. Fees would vary depending on type of ship, its cargo, prevailing conditions.
