US President Donald Trump
The US is in a strong negotiating position with Iran, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with CNBC today, April 21.
He added that he expects the talks to result in a “great deal”.
He also expressed reluctance to extend a ceasefire agreement, stating: “I don’t want to do that; we don’t have much time.”
Trump voiced surprise at the resilience of the stock market amid the conflict with Iran, noting that he had expected the Dow Jones and S&P 500 to fall by around 20% and oil prices to reach $200 per barrel.
