Saudi Fisheries’ shrimp project hit by virus

09/08/2015 Argaam

Saudi Fisheries Company’s shrimp cultivation project is likely to harvest only 300 tons, instead of the expected 1,000 tons during this harvesting season, due to a viral disease that has hit the project.

The harvesting period—set to start in two months— was seen to generate SAR 25 million for the company before the virus came about, it said in a statement to Tadawul.

Saudi Fisheries said it will reveal the financial impact soon
