Eastern Cement starts trial ops at new mill

Eastern Province Cement Co. (Eastern Cement) has launched trial operations at its new cement mill, a process which is expected to last 3 months, the Saudi cement producer said in a statement to Tadawul.

Commercial operations are set to begin during the second quarter of this year and the related financial impact is difficult to measure at this stage, as it depends on market supply and demand, it added.

The new facility will have a production capacity of 150 tons of cement per hour.
