Saudi non-oil exports drop 11% in February

Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports fell 11 percent year-on-year (YoY) in February to SAR 13.1 billion, new data from the kingdom’s General Authority for Statistics showed.

 

Non-oil exports increased by SAR 578 million in February, compared to the previous month.

The decline was fueled by a SAR 883 billion drop in rubber and plastic product exports during the month, in addition to a SAR 338 million decline in chemical product exports.

The UAE was the top export market for Saudi products, followed by China, Bahrain, Indian and Singapore. The five countries accounted for 40.2 percent of the kingdom’s total non-oil exports in February.
