Arabian Cement awards power plant contract to MAN Diesel

Arabian Cement Co. (ACC) has awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to Germany’s MAN Diesel & Turbo to build a power plant at the company’s factory in Rabigh.

 

The value of the deal was not disclosed in a statement issued by MAN.

 

The 40 megawatt (MW) plant will be equipped with two types of engines and will provide power to the cement factory.

 

The first phase of the power plant will be constructed in 2016 and 2017. The plant capacity will be increased to a total of 120 MW upon the completion of two additional phases with other four engines.
