Riyadh Metro 36% complete, says governor

Work on the Riyadh Metro project is 36 percent complete and the project will be finished on time, said Faisal bin Bandar, Riyadh governor, and chairman of Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA).

 

Drilling works in the green line, which extends 22 kilometers (km) from King Abdullah Road to King Fahad Stadium, have been completed. The green line includes 14 stations.

 

The metro will extend for 176 km and include 85 stations. It is scheduled for completion in 2018.
