Yamama Cement awards contract to build power station

Yamama Cement Co. has awarded Finland’s Wartsila a SAR 480 million contract to build, operate and maintain a private 133-megawatt power station, the cement producer said in a statement to Tadawul.

 

Under the five-year agreement, the construction work will start in September, and the entire project is scheduled for completion by June 1, 2019.

 

The source of financing for the project will be disclosed later on, Yamama explained, adding that it expects a positive financial impact.
