Dubai-based developer Meraas has set August 2 as the deadline for contractors to submit bids for a contract to build the AED 500 million Museum of the Future in the emirate, Middle East Economic Digest (MEED) reported.
Five contractors were invited to bid on the project in April. UAE-based Alec, the Netherlands' Bam, France's Bouygues, UK-based Laing O’Rourke, and South Korea’s Samsung C+T, were the fims approached.
Set to open in 2017, the museum will showcase cutting-edge technologies and aim to developing a culture of innovation in UAE.
The museum will be located near Emirates Towers and Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
