Dubai-listed developer Emaar Properties has received expressions of interest from contractors for contracts on more tower projects at its Dubai Creek Harbour development, Middle East Economic Digest (MEED) reported on Sunday.
The first contract covers the first phase of construction on a project called Docklands, while the second and third contracts cover the construction of buildings under a project known as the Island Tower Residential.
The firms said to have attended included Al-Futtaim Carillion, Al Naboodah Contracting, Arabian Construction Company, Dutco Balfour Beatty, Habtoor Leighton Group, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Six Construct, TAV, and Tishman.
Earlier this month, the developer held a briefing with selected contractors to discuss tendering for the 928-meter-plus tall Tower project at the Dubai Creek Harbour.
The tower, designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, is likely to be the tallest in the world if its height exceeds that of the Jeddah Tower, currently under construction in Saudi Arabia.
