Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Co. (du) reported a net profit after federal royalty of AED 457.2 million for the third quarter this year, a 6.7 percent year-on-year (YoY) decline from AED 489.8 million.
The net profit before royalty for the quarter was AED 995.1 million, marking a 2.4 percent YoY increase. Du paid a royalty of AED 537.9 million, up from AED 481.9 million in the year-ago period.
Revenue for the quarter grew 2.9 percent YoY to AED 3.14 billion. Mobile revenue totaled AED 2.22 billion, a 2.7 YoY increase while mobile data revenue was flat at AED 737.3 million. Fixed revenue increased 3.7 percent YoY to AED 681.1 million.
Net profit after royalty for the first nine months of this year stood at AED 1.38 billion, compared to AED 1.47 billion in 9M-2015.
