Taqat portal helps Saudis find 121,000 jobs

The Saudi Arabian labor and social development ministry’s online employment portal, Taqat, which provides a unified platform for job seekers, has matched 121,000 jobs with job seekers since its launch in July this year.

 

The salaries vary from SAR 3,000 to SAR 25,000 depending on the academic credentials and available opportunities, the ministry spokesman, Khalid Aba Al-khail said.

 

Up to 26 percent of the jobs were in the fields of retail and wholesale trade and vehicle repair. While 8 percent of the jobs were in the health care and social care -related sectors, 5 percent were in the professional and technical sector, 3 percent in the industrial sector, and 1 percent in the financial and insurance sector.

 

The most jobs offered by companies were those of technicians, followed by nurses, and engineers, he added.

 

Medical and accounting jobs were also available, he added.
