Du’s EITC to launch Virgin Mobile brand in UAE

Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Co (EITC), the holding company for United Arab Emirates phone service provider du, on Tuesday said it will be launching Virgin Mobile in the UAE.

 

EITC will have full ownership, and will manage and operate the new brand in UAE,, du said in a statement to Dubai bourse.

 

Services under Virgin Mobile are set to start within weeks.

 

Just like du, Virgin Mobile will use EITC’s network and infrastructure. Customer contracts and regulatory obligations will also be on EITC.

 

Karim Ben kirane has been appointed as managing director for the new small internal business unit that has been created within EITC to handle Virgin Mobile, it was reported.
