Leen Alkhair Trading Co. swung to net losses of SAR 3.1 million for 2024, against SAR 12 million in net profit a year earlier.

The loss-making was attributed to a SAR 5 million sales decline in 2024, compared to 2023, coupled with the elevated provision for expected credit losses and the soaring operating expenses on the increased freight costs given the rise in fuel prices as of 2024-start.

 

This is in addition to fierce competition and lower selling prices due to the foray of foreign companies into the local market.

Total shareholders’ equity, no minority interest, edged down to SAR 143.06 million as of Dec. 31, 2024, compared to SAR 146.18 million a year earlier.
