The profit decline was attributed to a year-on-year (YoY) decrease in the first-half revenues due to the impact of seasonality on certain products. Further, the first six months of this year coincided with the holy month of Ramadan, which took a toll on sales volumes.
In addition, some product categories recorded weaker sales in H1 2025, as a result of changes in consumption patterns among some consumer segments.
Shmoh Almadi also witnessed elevated raw material prices and lower production volumes, which pressured its six-month bottomline.
Sequentially, the six-month earnings fell 89.9% from SAR 4.28 million in H2 2024.
Shareholders' equity, no minority interest, grew to SAR 76.3 million by the end of H1 2025, compared to SAR 44.7 million a year earlier.
