The shift to loss was attributed to a 40% year-on-year (YoY) drop in sales volume due to turnaround maintenance at the plant in Q1 2025. Selling prices declined by 15%, while propane costs increased 6% YoY.
Alujain narrowed its losses in Q1 2025 from SAR 99.83 million in Q4 2024, after recording an impairment loss and amortization of customer relationships totaling SAR 170 million in the previous quarter.
Total shareholders’ equity, after minority interest, stood at SAR 3.47 billion as of March 31, 2025, compared to SAR 3.01 billion in the prior-year period.
