The profit growth was attributed to a rise in revenue to SAR 20.3 billion for 9M 2025, from SAR 17.9 billion a year earlier. The growth was mainly driven by higher retail revenues (up 6.3%) supported by network expansion and customer experience improvements, as well as stronger performance in the food manufacturing segment due to higher sales volumes and prices in edible oils, consolidation of the Egyptian United Sugar Co., and a 6.3% rise in frozen food sales.

This came despite lower food services revenue, while results from discontinued operations in Iran and Sudan were excluded in line with IFRS.

Other operating income also increased mainly due to reversing unused provisions worth SAR 52.7 million, partially offset by a net loss of SAR 7.9 million from the disposal of certain non-current assets related to a regulatory project.

In addition, income tax expenses decreased, and the company recorded a net Zakat reversal of SAR 211.8 million in 2025, compared to a net Zakat expense of SAR 51.8 million in 2024.
