Almarai approves 10% cash dividend for 2020

Almarai Co.’s shareholders approved the board recommendation to pay cash dividend at 10% of capital, or SAR 1 per share for 2020, during the extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held on April 13, 2021, the company said in a bourse filing.

Shareholders also approved purchasing up to 10 million shares, to be allocated within the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which will be financed by the company’s own resources.

 

The board of directors was authorized to complete the purchase in one or several tranches over a maximum period of 12 months from the date of EGM.
