US oil rigs increase for 5th straight week, says Baker Hughes

The US oil rig count increased by six to 424 units in the week ended Sept. 26, according to Baker Hughes data on Friday, signaling a potential rebound in US crude production in the future.

 

The increase marks the fifth consecutive weekly gain.

 

Meanwhile, the number of natural gas rigs decreased by one to 117.
