Methanol Chemicals Co.'s (Chemanol) shareholders rejected the appointment of a new auditor for FY2020 and Q1 2021 at the extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held today due to lack of majority.

Shareholders also rejected discharging board members from liability for FY2019, according to the company’s bourse filing on Thursday.

The company will call for an ordinary general meeting at a later date.

In April, Chemanol announced that shareholders will vote on financial statements, appointing new auditor, and discharging board members during the EGM meeting.
