Saudi FM: Kingdom faced COVID-19 challenges with determination

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan said that the Kingdom, under its chairmanship of the G20, faced the COVID-19 challenges with determination and competence.

 

He added that the G20 summit comes in exceptional circumstances due to COVID-19 that hindered several activities in various fields, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

Farhan added that the Kingdom gives top priority to the protection of lives and economy from the pandemic, and paid special attention to discussing policies related to individuals and their various interests.

 

The Kingdom seeks cooperation with international partners and organizations to implement the solutions related to the COVID-19 crisis, Farhan said.

 

He noted that the Saudi government sought to mobilize international efforts and hold virtual conferences and meetings out of its strong belief in the importance of joint international efforts that will help overcome global challenges and mitigate the effects of crises on peoples.

 

The Kingdom took the initiative with peer countries to contain the spread of the pandemic and ensure the safety of individuals.
