Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), in cooperation with relevant government entities, is planning to launch a number of investment initiatives in early 2021, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing the spokesperson Majid Al-Shehry.

He added that the initiatives aim to boost local investments from regional and global private sector firms and attract others to the Kingdom.

SDAIA is currently working on identifying the real impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the local economy, Al-Shehry said.

He noted that the authority adopted the national strategy of data and AI and is currently seeking the necessary approvals on these initiatives before launching them.
