Saudi Arabia’s idle lands program issued almost 1,400 payment orders for over 320 million square meters of land, Okaz paper reported, citing Abdullah Alhammad, Assistant of Deputy Minister for Lands at the Ministry of Housing.

These orders included plots developed by owners or lands that were transferred to new parties. Accordingly, these lands will be included in the real estate sector as developed areas.

Moreover, a total of SAR 1.4 billion land fees were spent on various housing and infrastructure projects since law enforcement, Alhammad added.

He also affirmed that payment orders are referred to enforcement courts within one year from the invoice issuance date.
