Merging housing ministry and MOMRA will unite efforts to serve citizens: Minister

Majed Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing 

Saudi Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Majed Al-Hogail, said that merging the Ministry of Housing with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (MOMRA) will boost the development of both business sectors and will further unify efforts for the sake of citizens.

 

“These two business sectors are of a major importance for Saudi citizens; they were prioritized among other sectors, within the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 plans as well as programs,” the minister added.

 

He also urged for more efforts to implement the national plans and programs, in a way that will reflect positively on citizens.

 

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued, on Jan. 24, a royal decree on merging the housing ministry and MOMRA and rebranding it as the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Argaam reported.
