Health Minister asks to continue with COVID-19 precautions

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Health, Tawfig Al Rabiah, called on the public to maintain the safety measures in order to control the spread of coronavirus.

“Many countries are facing a fiercer second wave of COVID-19,” the minister said.

“We have to address the problem seriously, and apply strict precautionary measures to mitigate the effects of the pandemic,” he added.

The number of new COVID-19 cases has risen sharply over the last few days, mainly driven by social gatherings and leniency with precautionary measures.

“Noncompliance with preventive measures will certainly oblige us to enforce strict measures to protect our community,” the minister noted, adding that the Kingdom may face a virus outbreak and a shortage in healthcare services.
