Oil prices climb, Brent rises to $57

Oil prices rose by more than 1% on Tuesday after reports that OPEC+ expects that the agreed oil-supply curbs will reach 99% in January.

 

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization announced that new coronavirus cases fell for a third consecutive week, noting that despite the increase in new cases in some countries, the global data is encouraging

 

International benchmark Brent crude was trading up 1.2% at $57 per barrel, at 9 am Makkah time.

 

WTI crude rose 1.2% to $54.19 a barrel.
