Bupa Arabia says board member resigns

Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance Co. (Bupa Arabia) announced that the board of directors accepted, on Feb. 2, the resignation of Joy Linton from her position as non-executive board member, representing the major foreign shareholder, Bupa Investments Overseas Ltd. (BIOL).

 

The resignation takes effect from March 1, 2021, the company said, adding that it was submitted due to her resigning from the post in the foreign shareholder.

 

The new BIOL board member representative will be announced in due course, subject to regulatory approvals, and approval of the public shareholders in a future general assembly meeting, date of which will be announced later.

 

Linton commenced the current Bupa Arabia board term on Dec. 1, 2019.
