Sheikh Hamdan bin Radshid Al Maktoum, UAE Minister of Finance and Deputy Ruler of Dubai, passed away today, March 24, 2021, at the age of 74.

 

His brother, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, shared the news on his official Twitter account.

 

Sheikh Hamdan served as finance minister since the union’s founding in 1971, and has held other positions, including deputy prime minister, president of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and chairman of Dubai Municipality.
