Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and chairman of the Saudi Export Development Authority (SEDA), Bandar Alkhorayef, will launch “Made in Saudi” program on March 28, 2021, under the sponsorship of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The move aims to support national products and services at both local and global levels.

The program will be launched through a virtual event, during which the "Made in Saudi" logo will be presented to provide a unified and official identity for Saudi products and services.

A press conference will then be held by the minister to shed light on the program’s plans, objectives, and mechanism.

In November 2020, SEDA stated that the program will contribute to stimulating the investments of the Kingdom's industrial sector to strengthen its foothold globally. The program will also help Saudi products to compete locally, regionally, and globally, in addition to enhancing its role to increase the contribution of the local non-oil exports to the non-oil gross domestic product (GDP) from 16% to 50% by 2030, according to data compiled by Argaam.
