Saudi Arabia records 970 COVID-19 cases on Monday

Saudi Arabia recorded 970 COVID-19 cases today, April 19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 405,940, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 896, raising the total number of recovered cases to 389,598 (97% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 9,508, of which 1,087 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported 11 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 6,834.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 438, followed by Makkah (227), Eastern Province (131), Madinah (37) and Asir (28).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 56,583 new tests, bringing the total number of laboratory tests to 16.23 million.

 

More than 7.26 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the Kingdom to date.
