Saudi Arabia records 1,028 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

Saudi Arabia recorded 1,028 COVID-19 cases today, April 21, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 408,038, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 824, raising the total number of recovered cases to 391,362 (97% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 9,818, of which 1,145 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported 12 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 6,858.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 431, followed by Makkah (220), Eastern Province (157), then Madinah and Asir (45 each).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 58,507 new tests, bringing the total number of laboratory tests to 16.35 million.

 

More than 7.53 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the Kingdom to date.
