Saudi Arabia records 937 COVID-19 cases on Sunday

Saudi Arabia recorded 937 COVID-19 cases today, May 2, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 419,348, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 1,120, raising the total number of recovered cases to 402,664 (96% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 9,705, of which 1,351 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported 11 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 6,979.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 381, followed by Makkah (225), Eastern Province (110), Asir (47) and Madinah (36).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 62,447 new tests, bringing the total number of laboratory tests to 17.03 million.

 

Almost 9.56 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the Kingdom to date.
