Saudi Arabia records 997 COVID-19 cases on Saturday

Saudi Arabia recorded 997 COVID-19 cases today, May 8, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 425,442, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 1,026, raising the total number of recovered cases to 408,676 (96% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 9,707, of which 1,319 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported 14 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 7,059.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 372, followed by Makkah (250), Eastern Province (123), Asir (54) and Madinah (49).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 69,000 new tests over the last 24 hours, and the number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the Kingdom to date reached 10.3 million.
