Saudi Arabia records 1,261 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

Saudi Arabia recorded 1,261 COVID-19 cases today, June 8, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 459,968, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 922, raising the total number of recovered cases to 442,782 (96% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 9,698, of which 1,580 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported 17 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 7,488.

 

Makkah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 401, followed by Riyadh (304), Eastern Province (167), and Madinah and Asir with 84 each.

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 92,400 new tests, bringing the total number of laboratory tests to 19.93 million.

 

Almost 15.13 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the Kingdom to date.
