Saudi Arabia records 1,239 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

Saudi Arabia recorded 1,239 COVID-19 cases today, June 16, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 469,414, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 932, raising the total number of recovered cases to 451,187 (96% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

The Kingdom reported 15 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 7,621.

 

Active cases totaled 10,606, of which 1,549 cases are critical.

 

Makkah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 371, followed by Riyadh (253), Eastern Province (229), Asir (98) and Jazan (83).

 

The Kingdom conducted 90,870 new tests, bringing up the total number to 20.62 million.

 

More than 16.15 million doses have been administered to people in the Kingdom to date.
