Saudi Arabia records 1,253 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

Saudi Arabia recorded 1,253 COVID-19 cases today, June 23, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 478,135, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 1,043, raising the total number of recovered cases to 459,091 (96% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 11,328, of which 1,472 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported 13 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 7,716.

 

Makkah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 363, followed by Eastern Province (263), Riyadh (165), Asir (159), Jazan (105), and Madinah (62).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 85,030 new tests, bringing the total number of laboratory tests to 21.22 million.

 

Almost 16.87 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the Kingdom to date.
