Saudi Arabia records 986 COVID-19 cases on Thursday

Saudi Arabia recorded 986 COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 5, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 530,981, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 1,055, raising the total number of recovered cases to 512,373 (96% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

The Kingdom reported 13 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 8,297.

 

Active cases totaled 10,311, of which 1,424 cases are critical.

 

Makkah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 189, followed by Riyadh (177), Eastern Province (162), Jazan (101) and Asir (98).

 

The Kingdom conducted 105,540 new tests, bringing up the total number to 28.81 million.
