Saudi Arabia records 290 COVID-19 cases on Thursday

Saudi Arabia recorded 290 COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 26, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 543,318, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 535, raising the total number of recovered cases to 530,917 (98% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 3,889, of which 1,061 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported seven new deaths, with the death toll standing at 8,512.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 62, followed by Makkah (51), Eastern Province (30), Al Qassim (29), Jazan (27), Asir (23), and Madinah (18).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 65,820 new tests over the last 24 hours, and the total number of administered doses increased to 35.36 million.
