Sadara completes construction of ethylene oxide, propylene oxide pipelines

Sadara Chemical Co. completed today, Sept. 2, the construction of ethylene oxide (EO) and propylene oxide (PO) pipeline projects, as well as the distribution unit that will supply the EO and PO feedstock to PlasChem Complex, Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

The EO and PO pipelines extend nearly 6.8 kilometers (km) and 6.2 km, respectively, terminating at the PlasChem Complex.

 

Faisal Al-Faqeer, CEO of Sadara, said such projects will be the first-of-its-kind in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

 

He added that the projects are a catalyst and encouragement for investments in the Kingdom's manufacturing sector. In addition, they are an important element in the plan for shifting to more manufacturing industries locally, in line with Vision 2030.

 

The projects will contribute to providing investment opportunities and create thousands of new jobs in the chemical industries and related sectors, Al-Faqeer concluded.
