Saudi Arabia records 177 COVID-19 cases on Thursday

Saudi Arabia recorded 177 COVID-19 cases today, Sept. 2, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 544,811, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 279, raising the total number of recovered cases to 533,430 (98% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 2,821, of which 824 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported eight new deaths, with the death toll standing at 8,560.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 54, followed by Makkah (29), Eastern Province (18), Jazan (14), Al Qassim (13) and Madinah (11).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 55,740 new tests over the last 24 hours, and the total number of administered doses increased to 37.46 million.
