Saudi Arabia administers 39 mln doses of COVID-19 vaccine; 16.4 mln persons receive 2 doses

Saudi Arabia has administered 39 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to date, according to the latest official data issued by the Ministry of Health.

 

The number of persons who received the first and second doses reached 22.6 million and 16.4 million, respectively. Meanwhile, a total of 1.616 million aged persons were vaccinated.

 

The ministry stated that more than 220,400 new doses were offered to residents and citizens in the last 24 hours.

 

On Dec. 17, the ministry launched the first phase of COVID-19 vaccination campaign, followed by the second phase on Feb. 18.
