The transport and logistics sector made several leaps, supported by the Kingdom’s leadership, Saudi Press Agency reported, citing Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport.

The sector’s achievements include Saudi ports featuring in Lloyd’s list of top “One Hundred Ports” and growth in performance of marine lines by 231% in the first half of 2021, he added.

Al-Jasser also highlighted the inclusion of four Saudi airports to Skytrax list of the “World’s Top 100 Airports”, as well as the improvement in the Saudi Railways (SAR) services, which helped it be ranked among the top three railways companies on Global Safety Index.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman launched, in June 2021, the national strategy for transport and logistics services, which aims to enhance the Kingdom’s position as a global logistic hub.

The strategy also aims to improve the transport services and enhance integration of logistics services system and modern means of transport to support the Kingdom’s development, according to Argaam's data.
