AlRabiah says nationalizing health, medical appliances professions to open jobs for Saudis

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Health Tawfig AlRabiah said that nationalizing jobs in health specialties and medical devices, along with adopting minimum wage in dentistry and pharmacy, will provide career opportunities for Saudi citizens.

 

The decisions complemented the joint efforts between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), AlRabiah on his official Twitter account.

 

On Oct. 12, the HRSD ministry issued a decision regarding Saudization in health specialties and medical devices, according to data compiled by Argaam.

 

The first decision focused on nationalizing the professions of medical laboratories, radiology, physiotherapy and therapeutic nutrition in all medical facilities operating in the Kingdom.

 

The second decision focused on nationalizing the activities in medical devices and equipment field, targeting sales, advertising and introduction of medical devices. It also included engineering and technical professions of medical devices in private sector facilities.

 

The ministry also issued a decision to approve the amendment of the Saudization manual for the dental and pharmacy professions. Updates included setting the minimum wage in the two professions at SAR 7,000.
