Climate change must be addressed without bias towards any source of energy: minister

Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Saudi Minister of Energy, said it is imperative to recognize the diversity of climate solutions, and the importance of emissions reduction as stipulated in the Paris Agreement, without any bias towards or against any particular source of energy.

During his participation in the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), the minister stressed that confronting climate change requires an effective international response, and the success of such response lies in three main pillars, including energy security and economic development, which ensure the well-being of peoples and address the challenges of climate change.
