Saudi health authority says no cases of Omicron found so far

Public Health Authority's CEO Abdullah Algwizani announced today, Nov. 28, that no cases of the new COVID variant, Omicron, have been found in the Kingdom so far.

 

The authority is following up on the developments of the new COVID strain, as part of the Saudi Human Genome Program, the top official told a press conference.

 

He urged the public to follow the precautionary measures and take the vaccines, as well as ensure the safety of the public facilities and institutions by using Tawakkalna application.

 

Furthermore, Algwizani said that any person who shows symptoms of infection should not attend any social events, adding that those traveling back from the suspended countries are required to take PCR test in the Kingdom.
