Minister of Environment says ongoing water projects valued at SAR 80 bln

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and Chairman of the National Water Co. (NWC), Abdulrahman Al-Fadley, said that the size of ongoing water projects currently stands at more than SAR 80 billion.  

 

During the completion of the restructuring and merger of the water distribution sector in the Kingdom, Al-Fadley said that the distribution merge will have a positive impact on operational efficiency and improve access to services for citizens, Al-Eqtisadiah reported.   

 

The expected impact includes raising operational efficiency, and maximizing benefit and improving service to citizens.  

 

The company will soon be in a better position to expand and upgrade services, the minister noted.
